It's true, our winter-specific boots are usually made with 5.5mm - 7.5mm neoprene. This thickness provides excellent insulation for the coldest conditions. But we also combine this thicker Neo-Tech with a more robust insole, midsole, or outsole to help with heat loss. This provides a comfort range that dips well below zero, which is perfect for those frostier days.

Mild Weather

For spring through fall, boots with 3mm - 5mm neoprene are ideal. They offer enough natural insulation to keep you warm on cool mornings, but they might also have an AirMesh lining and MaxWick coating to help with airflow and moisture management. This can prevent overheating as the days warm up. When you wear them with a lighter sock, they are great late spring through fall. When you throw on a heavier sock, they quickly become an awesome winter boot due to their waterproof nature.
